In 1938, at a commemorative luncheon held in the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles to welcome the British King and Queen, eleven types of glasses were meticulously arranged before each of the over 200 guests. The scene was said to evoke the image of British soldiers in formation. "Tommy" was a nickname for British soldiers during World War I and also the title of a work by the British poet Kipling, lending its name to this collection.

From the star-shaped cuts etched into the base of the stem to the diamond cuts, bevel cuts, pearl cuts, and line cuts adorning the bowl, the collection showcases the masterful skills of artisans. The creation of each glass requires a ten-day process involving six artisans for hot work, primarily shaping, and five cutters. With over 30 diverse pieces and a rich palette of colors, the Tommy collection remains a global bestseller to this day.

The vodka flute, slightly smaller than a champagne flute, and its accompanying decanter exhibit a perfect harmony between simple olive leaf-shaped cuts and diamond cuts. The geometric cuts, emphasizing straight lines, draw inspiration from the Art Deco style prevalent in the 1920s.

The unwavering techniques, bold creativity, and imagination passed down through history continue to guide Saint-Louis in its new creations.
