Kokuyo Furniture, a maker of office furniture, has collaborated with nendo, a globally active design office. This has resulted in the birth of "ofon" and "brackets," flexible office furniture brands designed to fit the growing number of small offices.

How Desks, Storage, and Sofas Take Shape Through the nendo Philosophy

Ofon was developed collaboratively by nendo and Kokuyo Furniture, starting from the concept of "thoroughly enjoying work in small spaces." It was named by combining "OFF" and "ON," envisioning people who enjoy working while transitioning between "ON" time for focused work and "OFF" time for relaxation.

Ofon is a modular system furniture centered around desks and box storage. Its original items can be easily connected and reconfigured with a coin, allowing for a structure that flexibly adapts to changes in personnel or location.

Ofon proposes four reference space models: "0730WOODY," "1030PLAIN," "1500POP," and "2300BITTER." This allows for coordination from the perspective of the entire compact office space.

Concurrently, the modular high-back sofa "brackets" was also unveiled. As shown in the video below, the sofa can be combined in numerous ways to create various spaces, making it another highly flexible interior that adapts to diverse situations.
