Annual Tradition! The 2012 Calendar Has Arrived
A calendar from illustrator Takahiro Nagino, known for his warm and simple works, is now available.

This calendar marks the 30th year of the series. To celebrate the 30th anniversary, the 2012 edition includes a ZINE (booklet) as a bonus, with the price remaining unchanged at 1200 yen. The ZINE features covers from past calendars and idea sketches.
“I hope that people can enjoy it with their own free interpretations, as each month depicts various shapes and words drawn with simple lines,” says Nagino.
The cover reads, “This is TOMORROW.” This is also the title of a song by Bryan Ferry, and the title of an exhibition held in 1956 by artists such as Hamilton and Paolozzi, whom he studied under at art school.
“It gives a sense of hope for the coming year.” It seems to carry a wish for a brighter year ahead, following the great tragedy of 2011.
Now on sale at museum shops such as NADiff and ON SUNDAYS.
