Black Badge Delivers Up to 500kW and 1,100Nm of Torque

The Black Badge produces a maximum of 500kW and 1,100Nm of torque.

Since its debut in 2022, the Spectre has established itself as a luxury BEV. This update enhances the powertrain and expands the possibilities for bold bespoke artistry.

The "Spectre Series Ⅱ" evolves with redesigned battery cell technology and powertrain improvements. This boosts the WLTP range to up to 390 miles (628km), an 18% increase over the previous model. Charging time is also reduced by up to 14%, making it enjoyable for both daily use and long drives.

While already the most powerful Rolls-Royce model to date, the Spectre has been further refined, now delivering a maximum output of 442kW and 1,015Nm of torque.

Developed for a more engaging driving experience, the "Black Badge Spectre Series Ⅱ" unlocks 500kW of power in "Infinity Mode" and generates up to 1,100Nm of torque in "Spirited Mode," showcasing Rolls-Royce's new form of performance realized through electrification.

The exterior retains the Spectre's signature sculpted, flowing two-door fastback silhouette, with updated details. It rides on newly developed 23-inch forged alloy wheels, hand-finished over up to six hours, featuring a multi-faceted, multi-spoke design that reflects light from various angles, creating a rich expression even when stationary.

Rolls-Royce reports that while the Spectre has always been a popular choice for bespoke customization, the Series Ⅱ further expands these possibilities.

Inside, "Duality Twill," a material derived from bamboo rayon, is introduced for the first time in the Spectre. The abstract interpretation of the brand founder's "RR" initials is rendered in embroidery, using up to 2.6 million stitches and a total thread length of 10 miles (16.1km).

The "Placed Perforation" technique, which creates artwork on leather through countless micro-perforations, is also newly adopted. Combined with illumination, it produces a dreamlike effect reminiscent of clouds floating in the night sky or starlight.

The dashboard features a new "Illuminated Fascia" with 8,108 pixel-like illuminations, further emphasizing the "Spectre Series Ⅱ" horizontal design.

At the center sits a newly designed clock inspired by aircraft instruments, and below it, the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine, crafted from solid stainless steel, rests serenely.

Meanwhile, the Black Badge introduces new "Iced Black Exterior Detailing." The grille surround, door handles, and Spirit of Ecstasy feature a matte finish, achieving a sophisticated, satin-like appearance.

Additionally, a wheel set has been developed to further enhance the Black Badge's presence. The open-spoke design highlights the powerful brake hardware, while the polished outer ring extending to the wheel's edge visually enlarges the 7-spoke structure.

Amidst the significant transition to electrification, the "Spectre Series Ⅱ" represents Rolls-Royce's vision for the future of luxury.

Learn More About the Rolls-Royce Spectre Series Ⅱ

Q. How do most owners use their Spectre?
According to Rolls-Royce research, Spectre owners typically possess an average of seven cars, with the Spectre often being their second Rolls-Royce. However, usage is frequent, with most charging occurring at home and many owners driving themselves. This indicates that the Spectre is positioned as a model with a unique identity as a "driver's Rolls-Royce."

Q. What is the background behind the Duality Twill design?
The embroidery on the Duality Twill is an abstract interpretation of the brand founder's "RR" initials, featuring a nautical motif reminiscent of sailing yacht rope braiding. The material itself is inspired by the expansive bamboo groves of Le Jardin des Méditerranées on the Côte d'Azur, a garden adjacent to Villa Mimosa, once Henry Royce's winter residence. It's a design that subtly connects the French Riviera with the brand's history.

Q. What is the inspiration behind the Placed Perforation design?
The Placed Perforation pattern is designed with inspiration from the shifting silhouettes created by moonlight-dappled clouds. This artwork, extending from the shoulder to the headrest of the front and rear seats, is composed of 78,138 perforations in three different sizes: 0.8mm, 1.0mm, and 1.2mm. When combined with the optional illuminated doors, the pattern subtly diffuses as it approaches the light source, creating a dreamlike effect reminiscent of starlight filtering through the night sky.
