The New Punto Evo Offers Improved Fuel Efficiency

The Punto Evo, announced today, succeeds the Grande Punto. With the name change comes enhanced features, including the "Start & Stop system" which automatically shuts off the engine during stops, such as at traffic lights, to reduce fuel consumption, and seven airbags.

Thanks to this "Start & Stop system," fuel efficiency is approximately 10 percent better than the Grande Punto. It's also pleasing that it qualifies for the eco-car subsidy program.

The exterior has been updated with redesigned front and rear bumpers and new L-shaped taillights.

The interior also features a refreshed design for the instrument panel, seats, and meter cluster. The shift pattern for the Dualogic transmission has been rearranged for improved operability.

Two models will be available: the Punto Evo and the Punto Evo Dynamic, which comes standard with 15-inch sport design alloy wheels, paddle shifters, exclusive fabric seats, and rear privacy glass. The Punto Evo is priced at ¥2.05 million, and the Punto Evo Dynamic at ¥2.30 million.

Both models are powered by a 1,368cc inline 4-cylinder SOHC 8-valve engine, paired with a "Dualogic" automated manual transmission.
