A Modern Interpretation of a Heritage Model

At the Geneva Motor Show, McLaren has teased the new "675LT" model, releasing a partial view of its wheels and a video.

In the "675LT" name, "675" refers to the engine's maximum output, and it is said to generate 675ps (666bhp) from the same 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbo unit as the current "650S"650S." The "LT" at the end is an abbreviation for Longtail, a name derived from the McLaren "F1 GTR" that was active in racing in 1997 and was nicknamed "longtail" due to its appearance.

The 675LT is based on the 650S and is a modern interpretation of the essence of the F1 GTR Longtail. McLaren explains that the result is a model that enhances aerodynamics, strengthens downforce, improves driver connection, and achieves increased power and reduced weight.

The 675LT will be produced only as a coupe model, with deliveries scheduled for the end of this year. Further details, such as specifications, will be released sequentially before the opening of the Geneva show.
