Canvas Top in Ivory, Red, and Black
The most distinctive feature of this 500C is arguably the adoption of a canvas top, which opens and closes only the roof section, similar to the second-generation '500' that debuted in 1957.
This canvas top can be opened and closed electrically, folding down onto the trunk when open. The canvas top is available in three colors: ivory, red, and black, allowing for personalization by coordinating with the body color to create a unique vehicle.
The body dimensions are the same as the base model: 3550mm in length, 1650mm in width, and 1490mm in height. It seats four people.
The engine is shared with the Fiat 500, with gasoline options including a 1.2-liter inline-4 producing 68ps and a 1.4-liter inline-4 producing 99ps. The diesel variant features a 1.3-liter inline-4 turbo engine with 74ps. Each is paired with either a 5-speed/6-speed manual transmission with an idling stop function or a 2-pedal 'Dualogic' (5-speed manual) transmission.
The Fiat 500C will be officially announced at the Geneva Motor Show in March. In Europe, its release is scheduled for this summer.
