To celebrate the appointment of sprinter Yoshihide Kiryu as its brand ambassador, Maserati has released the special limited edition "Maserati GranTurismo GranFinale." It is the world's only and the final GranTurismo ever to be produced.

Maserati Japan has appointed Yoshihide Kiryu, a prominent track and field athlete, as its brand ambassador.

Kiryu is a leading figure in Japanese athletics, having won medals at the Rio 2016 Olympics and the 2017 World Athletics Championships, and setting a new Japanese record in September 2017.

Since its inception, Maserati has consistently pursued its passion for driving, embodying a spirit of challenge and racing. Kiryu, who shares this passion for driving and challenging himself, and has been a long-time fan of Maserati, has now become the brand's ambassador.

To commemorate this occasion, a unique, one-of-a-kind special limited edition model, the "Maserati GranTurismo GranFinale," has been introduced, befitting a sprinter of Kiryu's caliber.

The GranTurismo, first unveiled in 2007 and becoming Maserati's signature sports car, ceased production in November 2019. This model is the very last GranTurismo to be sold worldwide.

Its exterior color, a two-tone combination of Bianco Fuji and Rosso Italiano, evokes the Japanese flag and symbolizes the connection between Japan and Italy.

Further enhancing its special status are exclusive features such as 20-inch Trofeo alloy wheels, anodized red brake calipers, an exterior carbon kit, and an Alcantara roof lining, all contributing to its distinctiveness as a special model.

The sale will be conducted through a bidding process, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Japan Association of Athletics Federations. Bids will be accepted starting Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 10:00 AM.

The car will be exhibited on a rotating basis at Maserati dealerships across Japan until the bidding period concludes.
