The Open-Top Version of the Flagship Aventador SVJ

An open-top variant has been added to Lamborghini's latest flagship model, the Aventador SVJ, which was announced last year.

The SVJ Roadster's name incorporates 'Super Veloce' (SV) and 'Jota' (J), signifying extreme speed and track performance, according to Lamborghini. Indeed, the coupe set a production car lap record of 6:44.97 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

The Roadster shares the coupe's rear-mounted 6.5-liter V12 engine, producing 566 kW (770 hp) at 8,500 rpm and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque at 6,750 rpm. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.9 seconds, 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) in 8.8 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 325 km/h (202 mph).

The roof is crafted from high-pressure RTM carbon fiber and can be removed via quick-release levers in the cabin, stowing neatly under the front hood. The weight increase over the coupe's 1,525 kg (3,362 lbs) is a mere 50 kg (110 lbs).

The Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) 2.0 system enhances cornering stability at high speeds. Large side air intakes and front side fins increase airflow for improved cooling and reduced drag. Airflow over the roof remains undisturbed, whether the roof is fitted or not, resulting in a 40% increase in overall downforce compared to the Aventador SV Roadster.

The Magneto-Rheological Suspension (LMS) is calibrated for optimal performance on both road and track, ensuring maximum control of the body and wheels. The anti-roll bar stiffness is also increased by 50% compared to the Aventador SV Roadster.

Through the Ad Personam customization program, buyers can choose from approximately 350 body colors and specify interior details in leather and Alcantara. Production is limited to 800 units worldwide, with prices in Japan starting at ¥61,714,585.
