The Lamborghini Huracán Evolves into EVO

Automobili Lamborghini announced the Huracán EVO, a supercar powered by a 640-hp V10 engine, on January 8th. It incorporates next-generation vehicle dynamics control and aerodynamics based on the performance of the Huracán Performante.

0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, top speed over 325 km/h

The naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine in the Lamborghini Huracán EVO, mounted mid-ship, producesHuracán Performantethe same maximum output of 640 ps (470 KW) at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 600 Nm at 6,500 rpm as the Huracán Performante. The dry weight of the body is 1,422 kg, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of 2.22 kg/ps. Acceleration is officially rated at 2.9 seconds for 0-100 km/h and 9.0 seconds for 0-200 km/h. Furthermore, the stopping distance from 100 km/h is a mere 31.9 meters, with a top speed exceeding 325 km/h.

The Huracán EVO is characterized by its new Lamborghini rear-wheel steering and a torque-vectoring system acting on all wheels, all centered around the new Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) function. This is a central processing unit that controls all aspects of the vehicle's dynamic behavior, linked to the Lamborghini Piattaforma Inerziale (LPI) accelerometers and gyroscope sensors, upgraded to version 2.0 with enhanced precision and located at the vehicle's center of gravity. It also integrates with the magnetic fluid suspension linked to the LPI, the improved Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS), brake and accelerator pedal inputs, and the connected gears.

This allows the vehicle to anticipate the driver's intentions. In 'STRADA mode,' selected via the ANIMA controller, it exhibits agility and delivers driving enjoyment. In 'SPORT mode,' it offers playful and exciting driving, while in 'CORSA mode,' it becomes sharp, responsive, and exhilarating even in extreme driving conditions such as on a circuit.

The exterior features striking elements such as enlarged air intakes, a front splitter with an integrated wing, newly designed side air intakes, 20-inch wheels, and twin outlets for the new sports exhaust system positioned high on the vehicle, reminiscent of the racing Huracán. Additionally, the integrated spoiler at the top of the tail and the underbody shape designed to maximize aerodynamic efficiency result in downforce and aerodynamic efficiency more than five times that of the first-generation Huracán.

Inside, a new 8.4-inch touchscreen monitor is installed above the start button on the center console. This modern setup allows for control of seats, climate, LDVI system, Apple CarPlay, and voice commands via Siri directly on the screen. It also supports multi-finger gesture control. The interior is characterized by a combination of exclusive EVO trim in Alcantara and leather, with numerous options available to match exterior colors, including new options within the Ad Personam program.

Deliveries of the Huracán EVO are scheduled to begin in Spring 2019, with a pre-tax price in Japan of ¥29,843,274.
