The Only Miura S Shipped to Southeast Asia at the Time Also Wins Award

A 1971 Miura S won three first-place awards at Salon Privé at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, UK: 'Best in Class: 1970s Supercars,' 'Most Iconic Car,' and 'Best in Show.'

This car was originally delivered to rock musician Rod Stewart in 1971 and was restored by Lamborghini's classic car division, Lamborghini Polo Storico, over 18 months.

Although it was originally delivered to Rod Stewart in a white body color, "Bianco Polo Park," which he chose, reminiscent of saltpeter, it had already been repainted blue and its engine modified by the time it arrived at Polo Storico, to the point where its original body lines were unrecognizable.

After a complex restoration from such a state, the Miura S, unveiled to the public for the first time, won first place in three categories. At Salon Privé, the Aventador SVJ, which set the fastest production car record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a time of 6:44.97, was also unveiled in Europe for the first time.

Following its award at Salon Privé, another 1971 Miura S restored by Polo Storico also won 'Best 70s Car' at the Concours of Elegance held at Hampton Court Palace in London.

This car was delivered to an owner in Singapore in 1971 and is said to be the only car Lamborghini shipped to Southeast Asia at the time. Furthermore, with only 1,300 miles (approximately 2,100 kilometers) on the odometer, it is considered the Miura S with the lowest mileage in the world.

The Miura S, which celebrated its half-century anniversary in 2018, continues to captivate many people. A new story begins for these two Miura S models, restored and brought back to life.
