Laminated Structure with Four Layers of Glass
The Sky View option for the Bugatti Chiron was developed for customers who wish to enjoy the scenery and sunlight from above while driving the Chiron.
Each fixed glass panel in the Sky View measures 65cm in length and 44cm in width. It features a thin, four-layer laminated glass structure. Each layer serves to reduce unpleasant noise during driving, reflect infrared rays to maintain a comfortable cabin temperature, reduce glare and protect privacy with tinted glass, and block harmful UV rays (UV-A, UV-B).
The laminated structure also reinforces the roof panel, ensuring that the vehicle's overall strength and crash safety performance remain unchanged. It also offers the benefit of 2.7cm more headroom compared to the standard model.
The Chiron with Sky View is scheduled to be unveiled at Monterey Car Week in California at the end of August 2018.
