Features a Retractable Hardtop That Opens and Closes in 15 Seconds

Named for its 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbo engine producing a maximum output of 570ps, the570Swas launched as the first model in McLaren's entry-level series, followed by the Coupe andGT model.

The newly released convertible model, the "570S Spider," adopts the same retractable hardtop (RHT) as the650S Spider" and675LT Spider" The roof can be opened or closed at speeds up to 40 km/h, a process that takes 15 seconds.

It also features an electric rear window and a wind deflector. To accommodate the changes in body shape, the rear spoiler is positioned 12mm higher than on the coupe.

The mid-engine, longitudinally mounted layout within the carbon fiber body is the same as the 570S Coupe. Due to the reinforcement required for the open-top body, the weight is 1,359 kg, 46 kg heavier than the 570S Coupe.

The maximum torque is 600 Nm. Combined with a 7-speed seamless shift transmission, the 0-100 km/h acceleration is 3.2 seconds, the same as the "570S Coupe." Furthermore, the top speed is 328 km/h, and even with the roof down, it reaches 315 km/h.

Orders have already begun, with the first 400 units to be produced as "Launch Edition Models." Prices start from 28,808,000 yen. Deliveries are expected to commence in the fall.
