A Special Edition Corvette Grand Sport Dressed in Legendary Blue
On April 5 (Wednesday), General Motors Japan announced the release of a special edition model, the "Admiral Blue Heritage," for the Corvette sports model, the Chevrolet "Corvette Grand Sport." It will go on sale on April 8 (Saturday) with a limited production of five units.

Sales in Japan began last November.Corvette Grand SportIts name originates from a prototype produced in just five units in 1963.
For this special edition, the body color is Admiral Blue, which was also used for the limited edition when the Grand Sport name was first applied to a production Corvette. This color, a symbol of past Grand Sports, is complemented by Torch Red fender hash marks and white full-length stripes extending to the rear hatch.
The interior, specially crafted with carbon fiber, includes special equipment such as competition sport bucket seats and interior hash marks.
The powertrain is a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine producing a maximum output of 343 kW (466 ps) and a maximum torque of 630 Nm (64.2 kgm). The transmission is an 8-speed automatic.
It is available only with left-hand drive, with just five units for sale in Japan. The price is 12.8 million yen.
