A More Racing-Inspired Design Based on the Grand Sport
The special edition is based onThe Corvette Grand Sport, which landed in Japan in November 2016. The "Collector Edition" features enhancements to the interior and exterior of this latest Corvette, bearing a name inherited from a legendary prototype produced in just five units in 1963.
The Collector Edition boasts a more racing-inspired exterior. The Watkins Glen Gray Metallic body color is accented by vibrant blue fender hash marks, while a satin black stripe runs from the hood to the rear hatch. It is fitted with cup-style black wheels.
The interior features Tension Blue leather and suede, echoing the exterior accents, with blue stitching providing a highlight. Furthermore, a badge displaying the serial number is affixed to the center console, signifying its special status.
The powertrain remains the same as the Corvette Grand Sport, with a 6.2-liter V8 naturally aspirated engine producing a maximum output of 343 kW (466 ps) and a peak torque of 630 Nm (64.2 kgm). An 8-speed automatic transmission is paired with this engine.
Production is limited to 1,000 units worldwide, with only 5 available in Japan. The price is set at 12.77 million yen.
