A Model Inheriting the Legendary Machine
"Grand Sport" was the name given to the prototype created in 1963, with only five units produced, aiming for participation in sports car racing. This name was also bestowed upon the sixth generation in 2010. This marks the third time the Grand Sport has been introduced to Japan, following 1996 and 2012.
The powertrain is the same as in theCorvette Z51"Chevrolet Corvette Z51," featuring a 6.2-liter V8 naturally aspirated engine that produces a maximum output of 343kW (466ps) and a maximum torque of 630Nm (64.2kgm). For the coupe, an 8-speed automatic or a 7-speed manual transmission is available. The convertible comes only with an 8-speed automatic.
Additionally, the "Z07 Performance Package" is available to enhance the car's potential. This includes carbon-ceramic brakes and a visible carbon fiber aero package that generates strong downforce.
Body colors include eight options for the coupe, such as Torch Red and Admiral Blue, and five for the convertible. The convertible's soft top is always black.
Prices start at ¥12.27 million for the coupe with the 8-speed automatic and ¥12.10 million for the 7-speed manual. The convertible is priced at ¥12.87 million.
A Special Edition Model Limited to 15 Units Also Debuts
