Significantly Reduced Chrome Accents from Previous Models

The new Chieftain Dark Horse is based on the Chieftain, which debuted in 2013 as Indian Motorcycle's first-ever fairing bagger, and is painted in matte black. By reducing chrome accents from the traditional Chieftain, it achieves a look that is understated yet assertive.

Body parts such as the fairing and fenders, as well as the head badge, forks, mirrors, and tail light housing, all of which were originally chrome-finished, have been coordinated in black.


The engine is an air-oil cooled 1,811cc Thunderstroke 111 V-twin. It produces a maximum torque of 16.4 kgm. The transmission is a 6-speed manual, and the chassis employs a lightweight, high-rigidity aluminum frame.

Exclusive Dark Horse features include a black solo seat and an electric short front screen. Like the traditional Chieftain, it also offers systems to support comfortable riding, such as ABS and cruise control. Power-lock saddlebags, a multi-function display, and a 100W premium audio system compatible with AM/FM/Bluetooth are also standard.

Additionally, a wide range of options are available to enhance originality, including a red leather seat, matte black lower fairing, saddlebag audio, LED headlights/driving lights, and a performance camshaft kit.

The price is ¥3,360,000. The color is exclusively "Thunder Black Smoke."
