Enhanced Security and Increased Luggage Capacity for Convertibles

The Jaguar F-TYPE has already received its 2017 model year update. For 2017, all models are equipped with "Valet Mode," which enhances security by allowing the glove box and luggage compartment to be locked and preventing operation of the touchscreen when using valet parking services at hotels and other venues. Furthermore, the convertible models feature a revised layout, increasing luggage compartment capacity compared to the current model, thereby improving practicality.

There are no changes to the powertrain: a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engine producing either 340ps or 380ps, or a 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine with 550ps, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. The drivetrain remains rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and the all-aluminum body is also retained. A total of seven models are offered.

Special Edition Inspired by the Union Jack

Coinciding with the launch of the 2017 model year, orders have also opened for the "British Design Edition" special model. This model is based on the rear-wheel-drive "F-TYPE S Coupé," equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engine producing 380ps and 460Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The exterior colors adopt red, blue, and white, inspired by the British flag, the "Union Jack." Premium leather sports seats and 20-inch alloy wheels are also standard equipment.

Additionally, stainless steel tread plates exclusive to the "British Design Edition" add a touch of flair.

The 2017 F-TYPE models are priced as follows: "F-TYPE Coupé" at ¥8,870,000, "F-TYPE S Coupé (6-speed manual)" at ¥10,790,000, "F-TYPE S Coupé (8-speed automatic)" at ¥11,290,000, "F-TYPE R Coupé" at ¥13,730,000, "F-TYPE R AWD Coupé" at ¥14,440,000, "F-TYPE Convertible" at ¥10,520,000, and "F-TYPE R Convertible" at ¥15,300,000.

The special edition "British Design Edition" is priced at ¥12,865,000, with a limited production run of 20 units.
