Priced Significantly Below One Million Yen
The new rapid charger announced this time features the same specifications as the current Nissan rapid charger (retail price including tax: 1.47 million yen) but is half the size, allowing for installation in smaller spaces. The standard specification will be priced significantly below one million yen, with plans for a lower-cost version to be priced at less than half that of the current model.
Nissan is engaged in a wide range of activities to contribute to the creation of an environment where electric vehicles can be driven comfortably by developing the charging infrastructure network across Japan. These include promoting installation in local governments and commercial facilities, as well as at Nissan dealerships nationwide. The company is also actively recruiting partner companies to jointly advance sales, aiming to sell 5,000 new rapid chargers by the end of fiscal year 2015.
This new rapid charger is also scheduled for release in the United States and Europe.
