50 PS Power Increase

The Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce is a new model based on the Aventador LP700-4, Lamborghini's flagship sports model introduced in 2011. It features thorough weight reduction, improved aerodynamic performance, and an enhanced engine output.

The engine remains the 6.5-liter V12 naturally aspirated unit, but optimizations to the variable valve timing and intake systems have boosted maximum output by 50 PS to 552 kW (750 PS) at 8,400 rpm, with peak torque at 690 Nm at 5,500 rpm. It achieves 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and a top speed exceeding 350 km/h.

The Superveloce incorporates magnetorheological dampers, named "Magneto Reologico Suspension" (MRS), into its existing pushrod suspension system. This allows for individual braking adjustments to each wheel during cornering, significantly suppressing body roll, according to the company.

Additionally, Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS), which variably adjusts the steering ratio according to speed and driving mode, has been tuned for the Superveloce. This enhances stability at high speeds and improves maneuverability at low speeds.

The chassis utilizes center-locking mounts, similar to racing vehicles, fitted with lightweight 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels shod in Pirelli P Zero Corsa Sport tires. Carbon-ceramic brakes are standard.

Thorough Weight Reduction

The Superveloce features extensive weight reduction, utilizing carbon fiber not only for the traditional aluminum-frame carbon monocoque body but also for the door panels, fenders, and the newly added fixed rear wing. The interior also employs carbon sports bucket seats, with carpets, some soundproofing components, and the infotainment system removed.

As a result, the vehicle's weight is reduced by 50 kg compared to the base model, to 1,525 kg. With the engine output increased by 50 PS, the power-to-weight ratio improves by 10 percent to 2.03 kg/ps. The infotainment system can be optionally installed free of charge.

Beyond weight reduction, the body has been optimized for aerodynamics, increasing downforce by 170 percent compared to the standard model. The striking, large fixed rear wing can be manually adjusted in three stages, allowing for up to a 15 percent range of effect adjustment. Furthermore, the front features two front wings that open wider than usual to generate downforce. A large diffuser and vertical fins are positioned at the lower rear to improve underbody airflow.

The rear end is largely mesh-structured, aiding engine cooling while visually emphasizing the Superveloce's weight reduction. The special lightweight muffler features a striking quad exhaust setup at the center.

The interior debuts Lamborghini's newly developed material, "CarbonSkin," in a production model. This lightweight, flexible, and wear-resistant fiber composite material is used for the headliner and cockpit trim parts in the Superveloce.

The instrumentation has also been revamped, with a TFT LCD instrument panel featuring a yellow base and a light blue tachometer. A G-force indicator, similar to those found in racing cars, is positioned at the bottom.
