The Ford Mustang, a beloved icon across five decades and six generations, celebrates its 50th anniversary in April 2014. New Model Unveiled December 5th
Ford announced that the new Mustang will be revealed on December 5th of this year. A 15-day countdown is currently underway on platforms like Facebook leading up to the announcement.
With over 5.5 million Mustang fans worldwide, the car has garnered more than one million tags on Instagram, a popular photo-sharing application, making it the most "liked" vehicle. Ford plans to leverage these passionate fans and their social media presence to build anticipation.
During this period, short films created by 15 top Instagrammers, inspired by photos on the platform, are also being released. The countdown will continue until the highly anticipated moment of the reveal.
Furthermore, the LA Auto Show features a collaboration between the original Mustang and the latest model. To widely promote this countdown initiative, Instagram photos from around the globe adorn the backdrop of the physical car display.
On December 5th, the unveiling event will be held in Dearborn, Michigan, with simultaneous debut events planned in six cities across four continents: New York, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Shanghai, and Sydney.
