Ingenuity Sustains Mature Charm
This book is my newly released work, "Try New Lipstick Before Bed" (Kodansha). As the obi band states, its content is "How to create styles in beauty, clothing, food, and living that must be updated after reaching adulthood." In other words, it introduces what I practice, what I value, and what I think about daily to keep myself updated across my lifestyle in general.

A Book Filled with Hints for Women to Live Vibrantly
Chapter 1: How Adults Can Update Their Beauty for the PresentHere, I discuss what texture is important for making mature skin look vibrant. The thickness of eyeliner to enhance mature eyes and how to draw eyeliner to easily achieve beauty. How to choose blush colors that suit mature skin. The color and thickness of eyebrows to make adults look youthful. What makeup is most essential for mature lips. Instead of general makeup techniques, I cover what is truly necessary for adults. For reference, "adults" in this book are assumed to be 40 years and older. Of course, those under 40 will also find much that is helpful.
Chapter 2: "Clothes That Suit Your Personality" Create "Good Taste"Here, I introduce how to find your signature style and the ratio of classic pieces to trends. Or, my preferences for the sleeve length of my staple striped T-shirt and the thickness of pump heels, along with the reasons why. Also, how to mix luxury and casual brands. Criteria for organizing clothes, and the joy of expanding your range of style.
I believe that finding your signature style, individuality, and taste all begin with understanding your own personality and desires. Even so, these are very common things. Whether your personality is feminine or straightforward. Whether you have a feminine face but aspire to a mannish look, or conversely, have a masculine personality but want to appear feminine. Thinking deeply about these things reveals concrete methods for what to choose as staple items and how to combine them, which I explain using my own examples.
Chapter 3: When the Body Becomes Stiff, the Mind Also HardensHere, I introduce methods I practice to correct body stiffness and misalignment, as well as techniques for building toned legs and lifting the buttocks.
I believe that the foundation of beauty is a supple body, free from misalignment and stiffness.past article from June 2009 in this seriesI wrote about this, so I would be happy if you would read that as well.
Chapter 4: Living Only with "What Is Truly Necessary"Here, I cover my organizing methods and interior design preferences. My thoughts on food and cleaning. And the things and ideas I do to live each day vibrantly.
Chapter 5: "Not Getting Bored with Yourself" Is the Key ThemeAs one gets older, opportunities to experience new things tend to decrease, but this chapter addresses the drawbacks and how to cope. It also covers what I do to make the most of my time, the importance of imagination, and the freedom gained through marriage.
The Book's Underlying Theme: "Ingenuity"
Actually, the underlying theme of this book is that "to live a vibrant daily life, adult women need ingenuity, both concretely and mentally." And for adults, it is through such ingenuity that they can sustain their vibrant charm.
As I myself have gotten older, I have become increasingly aware of how important "vibrancy" is for adult women. This is because I realized that an adult's charm is greatly influenced not by innate beauty, but by whether one can lead a vibrant daily life and maintain that feeling, and that this stems from concrete and mental ingenuity.
When you engage in such ingenuity, you naturally gain confidence and find life easier, and daily enjoyment increases. This, in turn, sustains your vibrant charm. In this way, adult beauty is fascinating precisely because it is linked to all aspects of daily life! I feel that way now. I hope that more and more vibrant adult women will emerge!
