"Isetan Salone" Opens at Tokyo Midtown on April 3rd (Friday)


The new select shop, "Isetan Salone," opened on April 3rd (Friday) at Tokyo Midtown. Across two floors and approximately 900 square meters, it offers items from about 90 brands, including apparel, bags, jewelry, watches, and cosmetics.

An Exquisite Space Incorporating Japanese Aesthetics, Using Materials Like Yakusugi Cedar


Isetan Salone embraces the concept of "the fusion of products and art." Leveraging the product curation and proposal capabilities of Isetan Shinjuku, it offers a diverse range of items, including women's fashion, carefully selected lifestyle goods from around the world, cosmetics, and jewelry. Serving as a salon for Isetan Shinjuku, it provides "MY COMFORTABLE SALON" – a space for quality time, a refined location, and personal hospitality. Large fitting rooms are available on each floor.

The interior design incorporates traditional Japanese materials such as Yakusugi cedar, Hinoki cypress, Towada stone, and fired tiles, reflecting Japanese aesthetics throughout. The space is meticulously detailed. The design was handled by Hiroshi Sugimoto and Tomonori Sakakida of the New Material Research Laboratory. Natural light filters through shoji screens developed by the laboratory, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

In addition to the original brand "T.G.I.F. READY FOR THE WEEKEND," developed exclusively for the store, limited edition items from luxury brands will also be available.

As an opening event, "BLACK&WHITE" will be held from April 3rd (Friday) to 21st (Tuesday), featuring a curated selection of monochrome items, including apparel and accessories from popular designers, as well as original brand pieces. Following this, from April 22nd (Wednesday) to 28th (Tuesday), a special exhibition titled "Koichiro Kimura x ISETAN SALONE" will showcase a collaboration between Koichiro Kimura, a designer active across various genres from lacquerware to art and interiors, and the luxury porcelain brand Meissen.
