Treasured Masterpieces Collection | Vol. 4 SUQQU's Palette for Adult Color
SUQQU
Vol. 4 Designing Color Eyes
As adults, we should be able to play with color boldly on our eyes.
I believe SUQQU's Designing Color Eyes teaches us just that.
It's true that as we age, our skin's natural flush diminishes. Consequently, eye colors can appear dull, the skin around the eyes thins creating shadows, and makeup becomes prone to creasing. Furthermore, attempting to create vibrant eye looks carries the risk of appearing like a "gaudy old woman" or an "immature old woman." This might be why women gradually distance themselves from color, opting for eye colors that extend from their skin tone, such as chic browns or light-reflecting beiges.
Conversely, adult eye makeup is considered successful if it makes the skin and eyes appear bright and clear, offers natural color payoff that neither stands out nor looks muted, creates beautiful dimension, conveys chic sophistication and sensuality, makes the expression vibrant, and the finish lasts. Designing Color Eyes not only achieves all of this effortlessly but also expresses the narrative quality (character) that a woman has woven throughout her life. This cannot be achieved without rich color.
Jade green, crimson, and orange, which might initially seem discordant with skin tone, blend surprisingly well when applied, becoming one's own color. This isn't to say the color payoff is subtle; rather, it's highly impactful yet never looks out of place.
Similarly, regarding shimmer, SUQQU's glitter evokes the radiance of morning dew or a star-filled sky, unlike glitter that merely adorns the eyes decoratively. Its moist texture adheres to the skin like it's being absorbed, minimizing fallout and creasing, which are common issues with glitter. It's entirely free from the "phenomenon of eye color that was beautiful in the morning being gone by evening."
Perhaps the reason SUQQU's colors tell stories of adulthood is their inspiration from nature. The colors of the twilight sky, flowers swaying in the wind, or minerals shimmering in the light. The colors of grand, universal nature are never consumed by fleeting trends. Just as we never tire of the beauty of a sunrise or cherry blossoms.
Many women say there are "no shades to waste" in Designing Color Eyes. The four colors within are like solo artists coming together to form a group. There are no filler members who can only provide backup vocals. Each shade possesses such distinct individuality that it demands attention. Yet, mysteriously, any combination results in a beautiful finish.
With each new release, it's as exciting as a new movie premiere, making us wonder, "What other worlds exist? How will this story resonate with me?"
Adults should enjoy and master color. This is not a backward-looking plea like, "Don't give up on color just because you're an adult." It's about recognizing that there are colors specifically permitted for adults. These palettes eloquently speak to that truth.
