Kiho Watanabe | The Ideal Nail Oil, 'uka Nail Oil,' Is Here! (2)
The Ideal Nail Oil Has Arrived! (2)
Scented from the Fingertips,
The most distinctive feature of the nail aroma oil "uka Nail Oil," created by Kiho Watanabe, is its "scent" that invigorates both nails and spirit. In addition to the basic type focused on treatment, the four other oils are blended with essential oils tailored to different daily scenes.
A scent for the start of the day, a scent to enhance concentration during the day... Let's have Kiho explain each one.

We Named It with the "Perfect Time to Apply" in Mind, So You Won't Forget
First, we have five oils (though we plan to add more in the future). The scents, excluding the basic one, are matched to daily scenes, and each has a designated time, which also serves as its "scent name."
The reason we divide them by time is, as I mentioned last time, because we want you to apply them many times a day. Apply them as soon as they dry. We thought that even those who don't know when to apply it could figure it out if a specific time was given, indicating the "perfect time to apply."
With five different oils, you can care for your nails without carrying them all around. The benefits of this are significant.
For example, keep one by your bedside, one on your desk at work, and one in your locker. By creating an environment where you can easily reach for it when you want to use it, you ensure consistent care and eliminate forgetting to apply it.
The nail aroma oil "uka Nail Oil" uses scent, scene, and time to make nail care a habit.

"uka Nail Oil"
Introducing the Five Scents, from Morning's "7:15" to Before Bed's "24:45," Plus "Basic"
7:15
A scent to gently and refreshingly awaken you at the start of the day.
I often burn incense when traveling to clear my mind and body, and this scent was inspired by that.
It features Japanese-inspired scents like sandalwood, hinoki, and yuzu, known for their relaxing effects. This calming, spirit-soothing aroma that resonates in the mind is recommended not only for mornings but also for meditation.
13:00
After lunch, work always feels like a battle against sleepiness. I'm sure many of you feel the same, so I've prepared a scent to help you refresh.
Working at a computer can lead not only to drowsiness but also to eye strain and headaches. If left untreated, concentration wanes, so we've blended mint as the core ingredient for alertness, along with pine for recovery and marjoram to enhance invigoration and upliftment. It's a scent that awakens a sense of clarity and positivity.
The concentration of the base treatment oil varies by time. "13:00" is lighter. Considering that you'll return to work immediately, we've created an oil that isn't sticky and absorbs quickly for a smooth finish.
18:30
This scent is for modern women who work assertively during the day but want to reclaim their femininity on evening dates. We chose feminine rose to reset everything and let a glamorous fragrance linger on the nails.
Actually, I didn't particularly like rose before, but I was told it would smell wonderful and decided to try it. That decision was the right one. The result is a superb fragrance, just as I was advised. Rose, which brings a gentle feeling, geranium for upliftment, and jasmine, with a fresh orange accent, create a scent that is both glamorous and light.
24:45
A scent to guide you into deep sleep. We've blended lavender with sweet vanilla.
While lavender is generally associated with relaxation, vanilla is also used in Europe. Vanilla is even diffused in pediatric wards. It's said to be very popular for its ability to bring peace to children's minds.
Indeed, the scent of vanilla is sweet and calming. The addition of orange's freshness to the soft aroma creates a subtly nostalgic and gentle scent, reminiscent of childhood. It gently washes away the day's fatigue.
Since it's applied before sleep, the oil concentration is quite rich. We've enhanced moisturizing and coverage for maximum treatment effect.
basic
This is the base oil without any essential oils. It's versatile and can be used for any occasion, so I think having one is very convenient. As it's specialized for treatment, like "24:45," the oil concentration is rich, providing a moist feel.
Scheduled for Release on October 1st! Promotions Begin Now
Beyond the scents and ingredients, we put considerable effort into the form itself. Our biggest focus was the application system. This product uses a "mini roll-on" where you apply by rolling a ball at the tip.

The advantages of the mini roll-on type are, first, that you can apply the right amount. Second, it doesn't drip around or spill if knocked over. You can apply it to all four fingers at once by rolling it. Furthermore, since only the appropriate amount is dispensed, it's economical as you don't waste oil. It's simply easy to use. I find myself applying it all the time. I think even men could use this without hesitation.
The bottle is frosted glass. Frosted glass not only has the benefits of being non-slip and blocking direct sunlight but also looks beautiful. Aesthetics are an important factor in making care a habit.
Since all ingredients are natural, it can also be used as a acupoint massage oil or lip oil. When you want a subtle scent, it can even double as a cologne.
The release date is finally set for October 1st (Thursday), and we're about to begin promotions. It feels like we've finally reached this point. As the production base is in France, we hope to be able to sell it there as well. As our first endeavor, we've decided to exhibit at "Beyond Beauty," a world-renowned beauty trade show in Paris.
There's a screening process for entry, and fortunately, this product received a very high evaluation.
It was even nominated for an award called the "Beauty Challenge." I'm already nervous about what might happen if we win (laughs).
Recently, I visited southern France to inspect the production site of "uka Nail Oil" and the organic farms where the ingredients are sourced. I was deeply moved to see the process of living plants becoming products with my own eyes!
I'll share that experience next time.
