The "TUMI 1975 Collection" Embodies 40 Years of Brand History, Now Available


Founded in 1975 with the passion of founder Charlie Clifford to "make travel more comfortable," TUMI is a brand of travel and business bags. To commemorate its 40th anniversary, the "TUMI 1975 Collection," released in early April, is crafted from natural full-grain cowhide leather, inspired by bags imported from South America in the brand's early days, and TUMI's signature ballistic nylon.

An Exclusive Limited Collection of 11 Styles


TUMI, named after the Peruvian idol encountered by founder Clifford during his Peace Corps service in South America, is now sold in over 280 TUMI stores worldwide, including New York, Paris, London, and Tokyo, as well as in department stores, specialty stores, and travel retail stores in over 75 countries.

The "TUMI 1975 Collection" embodies the brand's craftsmanship, technological innovation, and superior functionality, all hallmarks of TUMI, with the brand's founding year as its name.

The collection features 11 items in total, ranging from travel and business types such as the International Carry-On, Slim Brief, Backpack, and Square Duffel, to accessories like passport covers. Each product is engraved with a serial number as proof of its limited edition status.

40th Anniversary Event Held at TUMI Omotesando


To celebrate the brand's 40th anniversary, an event showcasing archival products and the evolution of its technology will be held at the TUMI Omotesando store.

Additionally, a digital campaign called "MY TUMI" is being held. Participants can post photos of their TUMI products along with memories and thoughts related to the brand on a special page on the brand's official website for a chance to win prizes. Those who do not own TUMI products can also participate.
