The Appeal of German Products in the New "Rana" Model | STOWA | GALLERY

Mr. Tanijiri notes that despite its modern design, the Rana watch conveys an analog feel.
Mr. Tanijiri explains that Bauhaus design is closely related to German products.
Stowa's new "Rana" model. It is simple and beautifully designed. In addition to this black dial, there are five patterns in total, including a white dial and Arabic numerals.
Mr. Tanijiri has been involved in everything from domestic Japanese architecture to CM set design.
Despite being made of metal, Mr. Tanijiri found the design to be warm to the touch.
Mr. Shibata, an Apple computer enthusiast, was reportedly shocked by Apple's design at the time.
The back features a see-through case, allowing a view of the internal mechanism.
The indices, which gradually increase in size from 1 to 12 o'clock to represent the passage of time, are laser-cut from the dial's dot sections.
The double-layered case construction is clearly visible.
Luminous material ensures visibility even in the dark.
The see-through case back allows enjoyment of the internal mechanism.
Even the lugs are finished with meticulous detail.
