The 'Minamisoma Learning Center,' supported by the Hataichi Fund. In collaboration with the Minamisoma City Board of Education, it provides mental care for children, focusing on those with developmental disabilities facing difficult circumstances after the earthquake and nuclear accident, through local children's clubs and the learning center 'Fumidasu Mirai no Kyoshitsu' (A Classroom to Step Forward to the Future).
The 'After-School Education Voucher Program,' supported by the Hataichi Fund. This program offers 'scholarship coupons' free of charge to children affected by the disaster, which can be used for educational services such as cram schools, preparatory schools, and extracurricular activities. University students and other volunteers also provide support by offering study and career counseling once a month.
The 'Fukushima Indoor Park,' supported by the Hataichi Fund. To provide a safe indoor play space for children in Fukushima, who cannot play outside due to radiation levels, this park was created in collaboration with their families and local residents.
The 'Collaboration School,' supported by the Hataichi Fund. This after-school program provides academic instruction to children in areas severely affected by the tsunami, where educational environments had deteriorated. It was established through regional cooperation with former local cram school instructors and the Board of Education.
The 'Hataichi Fund' was established to provide ongoing opportunities for learning and independence, alongside mental care for children in disaster-stricken areas. It is a time-limited fund that continues to support children until they reach the age of 20, starting from those who were 0 years old at the time of the Great East Japan Earthquake. All proceeds from the charity run will be donated to the Hataichi Fund.
