"HALFLIFE"<br />An alien (?) appears in the city, applying fluorescent paint for a positive test. Visitors receive a card that reads, "Are you infected? HALF LIFE." It might suggest that sleeping at night means living only half of your life.

A key feature of "Nuit Blanche," as its name suggests, is that it takes place at night. Venues include museums, city hall, parks, and schools across the city, all accessible for free.

For this one night, Torontonians prepare to stay up all night. As dusk falls, they venture out into a city that takes on a slightly different atmosphere.

"Gap Ecology (Still Lives with Cherry Pickers and Palms)"<br />A palm tree appears atop a crane. The surprising sight prompts reflection on nature and ecology.

"Walk among Worlds"<br />A space created with 7,000 beach balls shaped like globes appears on an elementary school playground. What do you contemplate while walking among these worlds?

As the event venues span the entire city of Toronto, official pamphlets and maps were provided to help locate the exhibits. A website with GPS navigation for smartphones was also launched.

On this day, subway and streetcar services extended their operating hours, and parking spaces were expanded, creating a system that facilitated enjoying the event via public transportation.

"Monument to North American Energy Security"<br />Displayed in the fountain of the plaza in front of the city hall hall is an object resembling an oil tank. The screen shows global events related to energy, prompting reflection on energy resources.

"Global Rainbow"<br />A seven-colored light extending towards the Toronto Tower can be seen from anywhere in the city. It is the symbolic rainbow illuminating Toronto's Nuit Blanche.
