BREITLING | Breitling, Supporting the Races of the Sky Gallery

"SMOKE ON" signals the start of the race, and the aircraft's trajectory can be tracked by its smoke. The shape of the remaining smoke reveals the aircraft's dynamic movement. Pilot: Pete McLeod (Canada)<br />Photographs by Predrag Vuckovic/Red Bull Content Pool
Yoshihide Muroya and his aircraft, the Edge 540 V2. Gold is the team color. A mark resembling a second hand is on the upper part of the aircraft. "I chose gold because it evokes Japan → Zipang → the Golden Land," says Muroya. He favors the "Breitling Chronomat 44 GMT."
A moment from Yoshihide Muroya's race. He ascends sharply and makes a wide turn immediately after passing through this gate. The pilot endures a load of 10G during this maneuver. However, exceeding 10G results in disqualification, so extreme caution is necessary even during turns.Photographs by Jörg Mitter/Red Bull Content Pool
The start of the final race by Nigel Lamb (Breitling Racing Team). The Breitling logo, the official timekeeper, is displayed at the start/finish gate.Photographs by Jörg Mitter/Red Bull Content
Winner Nigel Lamb (center), second-place Hannes Arch (left), and Matt Hall. Arch is currently ranked first overall (30 points), Hall fifth (14 points), and Lamb third (17 points). It's impossible to take your eyes off this competition as the rankings are sure to change!Photographs by Predrag Vuckovic/Red Bull Content Pool
The third round was held in Putrajaya, the federal territory being developed as Malaysia's administrative capital. The course was set on Putrajaya Lake. The distance between chicanes is 100-130m. Piloting an aircraft that travels 100m per second through these chicanes without incident requires exceptional skill. Pilot: Peter Besenyei (Hungary)Photographs by Jörg Mitter/Red Bull
The aircraft is parallel when passing through the start/finish gate. Between the next gates, the aircraft is oriented vertically. It returns to horizontal upon exiting and becomes vertical again immediately after. This photograph shows how smoothly and elegantly this maneuver is executed.
