EVENT | Predicting World Cup Outcomes at the Ekiden Race? Gallery

All 6 teams (Japan, Ivory Coast, Greece, Colombia, Brazil, and adidas Japan) would run one lap each, passing the baton to the fourth runner.
At 11:30 AM, the first runners from each team took their positions.
With the signal "Bang!", the athletes of the national teams surged forward.
Japan and Colombia took a slight lead, with the other teams closely following behind.

After the first lap, Greece was in 4th place.
In the second lap, Japan, which was in 5th place, overtook Greece in 4th.
Ivory Coast also finished their first lap.
Brazil was leading the race.
Second place was adidas Japan.
Colombia was in third place.
Japan was in fourth place.
Ivory Coast was in sixth place.
After three laps, Brazil and adidas Japan were in a close race for the lead.
Colombia followed closely behind.
The fourth runner for Japan was DJ Toshio Matsuura.
Japan was in fourth place as they entered the fourth lap.
Greece was in fifth place.
Ivory Coast followed behind.
adidas Japan made a strong comeback at the end, fiercely competing until just before the finish line, but narrowly missed out. Brazil secured the first-place victory.
The Brazil national team expressed their joy with powerful hugs and dancing.
The other teams also crossed the finish line and congratulated each other on their efforts.
Colombia finished in third place.
Japan finished in fourth place.
Greece finished in fifth place.
Ivory Coast finished the race in sixth place.
With refreshed expressions, the athletes left the course and headed to "Maduresu Nagatacho," a restaurant adjacent to adidas RUNBASE.
Here, Brazil, the first-place winner, received a certificate, and a lunch party was held featuring dishes brought by each country.

The "Espanada," originating from Spain, was brought by the Colombia national team. It's a dish of baked bread filled with minced beef and boiled potatoes, served with a spicy "aji picante" sauce.
The Brazil national team brought "Esfiha Fechada," a dish of triangular folded bread filled with minced beef and other ingredients.
The Greece national team brought their specialty, yogurt.
