F-TYPE Coupe Makes its Japan Debut

Jaguar's sports coupe model, the "F-TYPE Coupe," made its Japan debut. This model, which embodies the design vision of the concept car "C-X16," is a two-seater sports car with an all-aluminum body. Unveiled on stage was the "F-TYPE R Performance" model, finished in pearl white. It is the top-tier model, equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine producing 550PS/69.4kgm.

In addition to this, there are two other grades with 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engines: the "F-TYPE S Coupe" and the "F-TYPE Coupe," each with different maximum output. All models feature an 8-speed Quickshift transmission. Manual shifting can be operated via paddle shifters on the steering wheel or the manual mode of the sports shift selector on the center console. The luggage compartment capacity is also adequately secured, offering 407 liters, enough to fit two golf bags.

Furthermore, at this press conference, it was mentioned that a sedan for the C/D segments is under development for a 2015 release. This will be the first to adopt the aluminum-structured body of the concept car "C-X17," which was announced at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The model is planned to be positioned below the XF in terms of pricing. Hearing this, one can only eagerly await its arrival.
