A Coupe of Beautiful Proportions

Upon entering the booth, my eyes were drawn to a coupe with a powerful form displayed at the center. This is the concept car "Concept Coupe" making its debut in Japan. The daylight, emitting a beautiful glow, is designed in a T-shape within the headlight unit, which is very innovative.

The design is said to incorporate elements of the "P1800," a car known for its beautiful coupe form, but this was not an attempt to be retro; rather, it aimed for even greater value. Seeing the actual car, one cannot help but hope for the commercialization of this beautifully proportioned coupe. Volvo's future designs are definitely worth watching.

Also on display at the venue were models from the "60 Series "R-DESIGN"" sporty grade, launched this autumn, and the compact model "V40 Cross Country," which is selling well.
