Fuel Cell Vehicle Scheduled for 2015 Release
Continuing with the theme "FUN TO DRIVE, AGAIN.," Toyota is exhibiting a variety of concept models. Among them, the focus is on theFCV CONCEPT" FCV CONCEPT. This model, making its world premiere, is the next-generation fuel cell vehicle with a specially designed sedan body.It features a practical sedan shape, with the company's own compact and lightweight fuel cell and two 70 MPa high-pressure hydrogen tanks stored beneath the floor. It seats four passengers, with a practical cruising range of over 500 km. Refueling time is announced to be around 3 minutes, comparable to gasoline vehicles. It also possesses the capability to supply power to an average household for over a week, which is particularly interesting. This model is scheduled for commercial release in 2015.
In addition, attention is drawn to the "FV2," a futuristic car that can be intuitively driven by the driver's weight shift, and the "JPN TAXI concept," a next-generation taxi concept born from Japan's spirit of "omotenashi" (hospitality)." title="toyota_tms2013_1" data-src="/galleries/images/000/172/853/medium/4a538dcd-8596-4c62-988e-45f6a9a34825.jpg">
