Mastering the Audi quattro in the Arctic Circle | Audi Gallery

Audi S5 Sportback. A model that satisfies both comfort and sportiness, refining the "A5," Audi's four-door coupe. The Sportback features four doors plus a hatchback.
Audi's four-wheel-drive system, quattro, uses the latest generation with a crown gear. Furthermore, the S5 is equipped with a sport differential, a mechanism that enhances the car's turning agility by controlling the drive force between the left and right rear wheels.

On the way to the practice course, we drove on ordinary roads that were not in great condition. Despite the studded tires, the cabin was quiet and the ride comfortable. This is the flat ride characteristic of quattro.

If you get buried in snow, request assistance from a snowplow and attach the towing rope to the car yourself.
Then, return to the cabin, put the gear in neutral, and be towed.

The S5 features "Audi drive select," which offers preset driving modes like Efficiency, Comfort, Dynamic, and Auto, as well as an Individual mode for customizing engine response, transmission programming, and steering characteristics. Markus's recommended settings for driving on ice are Comfort for steering and suspension, and Dynamic for everything else.
Unable to stop the car's momentum, the resistance of the snow along the course helps.
