Beyond concept cars, Honda plans to introduce the "FIT-EV" as a lease vehicle for corporations and government agencies in the summer of 2012, and sequentially launch the "N BOX" series of mini-vans in the spring of 2012. The SUV "CR-V" will be available not only with a 2.4-liter engine but also with a 2-liter model for the Japanese market.
Honda is highly committed to shifting towards natural energy, exemplified by its mega-solar initiatives. The company aims for zero environmental impact in all its activities, from driving and the electricity used for operation to its factory equipped with a 2.6-megawatt solar power generation facility.
The conference concluded with the appearance of the new ASIMO, who handed President Ito a drink. Its movements were so organic it was hard to believe it wasn't alive.
