Keiko Toda | Reflecting on a Hectic Yet Fulfilling Summer, Part 3: Holding Hands! Mosaic Art: Gallery

Keiko Toda | Looking Back on a Hectic Yet Fulfilling Summer, Part 3Hand in Hand! Mosaic Art
Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens, a place every Nagoya resident has visited at least once. A giant mural, connecting to the future through mosaic art, was created on the wall of the zoo's elephant house. We received donated tile scraps, and many parents and children participated in tiling, despite the midsummer heat. The mural design was by Nagoya-born manga artist Tatsuya Egawa!

To commemorate the completion of the mural, Sayaka Aoki wrote the lyrics, Sonar Pocket composed the music, and I sang it. The title is 'Higashiyama Wind, Hand in Hand.' It's quite an epic song about the bond between parents and children.
