ADAM KIMMEL | Spring/Summer 2012 Menswear Collection - Runway Looks Gallery

<strong>ADAM KIMMEL</strong> This collection expresses the spirit of surfers, rather than their appearance. "I think surfers are inherently cooler than the clothes they wear. The hardcore surfers I know – the ones who tackle waves no one else would dare – don't wear surfwear, and they certainly don't dress like stereotypical surfers. So, let's call this collection, which extracts and expresses their essence, dark surfing with a psychedelic vibe" (Adam Kimmel).<br><br>The collection's main colors are black and olive. Custom psychedelic prints and buttons act as spices, adding color to this dark Spring/Summer collection.<br><br>Breathable mesh knit sweaters feature lightweight neoprene elbow patches and are finished with stitching used in wetsuits. This stitching is incorporated throughout the collection. This season's unique items, such as reversible blazers, bomber jackets with removable collars and sleeves and a pouch for surf wax, and resin-coated cotton outerwear with a detachable hood, pursue comfort and fit while maintaining a slender silhouette for a more tailored finish. "I am incredibly proud to present this Spring/Summer collection, which is the most wearable I've ever created and one I personally love, in my first ever catwalk show" (Adam Kimmel).
