Patrick dotes on his beloved dog, Caesar, in the downstairs dining area. Caesar was a birthday gift last year from friends including Elton John. During our meeting, he'd run around the room, charming us, and occasionally getting in the way (laughs).
Though there are many items, they are displayed with such calculated consideration of shape and color that the space doesn't feel cluttered. It's a highly sophisticated mix of styles. Patrick, by the way, loves mirrors. All the bathrooms on the second floor were mirrored. I bowed to his elevated aesthetic sensibility, realizing that's how he maintains his cool (laughs).
The combination of the old staircase and acrylic is exquisite, but the collection of ancient Roman stone reliefs adorning the wall next to it is equally spectacular. A perfect blend of weight and lightness.
Even during the day, they employ such lighting effects. It truly reaffirmed my belief that true taste requires this level of meticulous attention to detail.
I've forgotten the artist's name (embarrassed), but the act of finding one's own interpretation within a single photograph is the essence of art. It's the fundamental aspect of creation that resonates most with me.
