A Walk Through London (Day 1) - photo

The "Millennium Dome," built before 2000, has reopened as the "O2 Arena" with a new sponsor. On November 26th, Led Zeppelin will reunite for the "Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert." I applied but didn't get tickets.
I saw the concert on the 26th, the final day. Though there's talk of it being their last world tour, they seem perfectly capable still; they're fit and can still sing.
A boat connecting the O2 Arena, located along the Thames, to central London. The O2 Arena is a decent venue, but its poor access routes are a drawback.
The area around "London Bridge" is a beautifully maintained tourist spot. The boat passes directly beneath the bridge.
The "London Eye," the world's largest Ferris wheel. The boat docks right below it. Each gondola can apparently hold about 25 people.
Arriving in central London, I took the Tube from Westminster to Kensington High Street. This is said to be the house owned by Jimmy Page. I took a photo as a memento. It's a very upscale residential area.
A Sunday park scene, which I find most challenging (laughs). This is Holland Park.
The "Earls Court Exhibition Centre" in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Familiar from live albums by Deep Purple and others.
The Chelsea district features streetscapes with houses that are quintessentially British.
Taking a break at an antique cafe on Fulham Road. It seemed like a Chelsea FC match was on, as everyone was rushing to the stadium.
Fulham Road is a street lined with antique shops.
This is the "Royal Albert Hall," familiar from live albums by Deep Purple and others.
