<strong>SAKENOMY</strong><br />For the "SAKENOMY" event, a sake barrel was used for the shop's sign. The "SAKENOMY" lettering in the center of the barrel is lacquered with "urushi," focusing on the theme of lacquerware, which has been treasured in Japan since ancient times. The logo was painted by trainees who applied to be "urushi" artisans with lacquerware as their theme, completing it under the guidance of Kazumi Murose, a Living National Treasure in Makie.
<strong>SAKENOMY</strong><br />A space for writing "ema" (votive tablets) was set up inside SAKENOMY. Lacquerware staff, who studied lacquerware in Japan, support guests visiting SAKENOMY in writing their "wishes" on traditional Japanese "ema" using their lacquerware skills. The completed "ema" will be dedicated to Shimogamo Shrine at a later date.
<strong>SAKENOMY</strong><br />The sake bar "SAKENOMY Project supported by e-job" also hosts sake services by brewers from various regions of Japan, as well as exhibitions and events of traditional crafts aimed at transmitting Japanese culture.
