The Deeply Alluring "Oil Immersion" Dial of the "Dark Moon" | U-BOAT

Inspired by the dark side of the moon, a new release from Italian watch brand U-BOAT.
Italian watch brand U-BOAT has released five new models in its "Darkmoon" collection. This unique collection features dials with a special oil infusion to emphasize their blackness.

Special oil liquid brings vivid color and dimensionality.
U-BOAT continues to challenge the limits of traditional design, newly releasing five models in the "Darkmoon" collection, inspired by the dark side of the moon.
For this new line, Italo Fontana, the brand's founder, has evolved the innovative "oil immersion" technique by injecting a special oil liquid into the dial to enhance its presence. The oil liquid fully submerges the timepiece's electronic module, emphasizing the depth of the dial, which is the origin of the series' name. A small, intentionally placed air bubble allows the liquid to flow, creating a beautiful chromatic effect that is sure to stir the viewer's emotions.
All models feature a 44mm case diameter and are equipped with beige Super-LumiNova-coated indexes and hands. The case is made of stainless steel, with three models available in polished, black IP-coated, and bronze IP-coated finishes, all fitted with a transparent or red curved mineral crystal. The strap is a black rubber strap with ultra-durable processing and embossed brand logo for models 8463R, 8464, 8465R, and 8466R, while model 8467 features a hand-finished calfskin strap with engraved detailing.
