Limited to 100 pieces worldwide: A Pilot’s Watch with Exceptional Practicality

Hanhart was founded in Switzerland in 1882. The company later moved its base to the Black Forest in Germany, establishing itself as a watch brand specializing in stopwatches and chronographs. Production of stopwatches began in 1924, followed by the mass production of chronographs in 1938. They manufactured military stopwatches and pilot chronographs.
During World War II, Hanhart was adopted by the German military, solidifying its reputation as a maker of military watches. However, after the war, the brand temporarily disappeared due to Germany's defeat and the division of the country. In 1997, Hanhart made a comeback by unveiling a replica of its traditional pilot chronograph at an antique watch fair. Since then, the company has continued to unearth its past masterpieces, and today, primarily through its Pioneer series, it offers watches that carry on the tradition of military timepieces while incorporating the latest trends.
The newly released "Pioneer Preventer 9S," like other Hanhart models, is designed to the highest standards, ensuring precision, reliability, legibility, and robustness.
The design is based on models from the 1950s. The small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock reflects the layout of those vintage pieces. It was structured such that removing the center seconds and the stop-minute counter at 3 o’clock from the Caliber 42 chronograph leaves the small seconds at 9 o’clock.
The dial achieves excellent legibility through the contrast of the plain black dial with bright cathedral hands, luminous Arabic numerals, and white minute markers. The hands and numerals are coated with Super-LumiNova® C3 luminescent material for enhanced visibility in the dark, ensuring usability even at night.
The stainless steel case features a black PVD coating for surface protection, making it suitable for use in any situation without worry. The crown, bearing Hanhart's "h" logo, is designed to be large for easy operation.
The domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the case from scratches, and with a water resistance of up to 10 bar, it offers the robustness needed for any adventure.
Housed within the case is the reliable SW 200 automatic movement. Modifications have been made to position the small seconds at 9 o'clock, a refinement executed to high standards by Dubois Dépraz in Switzerland.
The strap is made of black calfskin with white stitching, featuring Alcantara on the inside. A black PVD-coated pin buckle ensures a secure and comfortable fit.
Hanhart boasts a solid history and proven capabilities as a military watch manufacturer. Its appeal is further enhanced by modern technology, giving it an even stronger identity.
