RHYTHM has released the "PISTA-S1/S2 ARITA" Arita Ware clock, designed to bring a touch of Japanese modernity to your interior. Suitable for both wall-mounting and freestanding display, these pieces feature three traditional Japanese motifs, reinterpreted with a contemporary aesthetic.

RHYTHM introduces the "PISTA-S1/S2 ARITA" Arita Ware clock, featuring exquisite relief work on a smooth, beautiful ceramic surface. Crafted with the exceptional skill of artisans at Ikeda Pottery, these pieces utilize traditional Japanese motifs to create a distinctly modern ambiance. The series is manufactured by Ikeda Pottery, a highly regarded Arita Ware kiln, known for its translucent white porcelain and its smooth, lustrous finish. This refined aesthetic ensures the clocks blend seamlessly into any interior.
RHYTHM "Furikake" pattern
The "PISTA-S2 ARITA Asanoha (Hemp Leaf)" and "PISTA-S2 ARITA Shippo (Seven Treasures)" designs are characterized by a gradient effect achieved through a dyeing technique known as "furikake." This technique involves spraying pigment in a mist-like fashion to create subtle variations in color intensity and gradients. Combined with vibrant green and pink hues, these designs are rendered in a modern aesthetic.

The traditional patterns adorning the ceramic plates carry special meanings. The 'Asanoha' (hemp leaf) pattern is said to have been used on baby clothes to wish for healthy growth, as hemp grows strong and straight. The 'Nami' (wave) pattern, with its fan-like shapes, symbolizes prosperity, as it suggests expansion and the sea's eternal continuity. The circular 'Shippo' (seven treasures) pattern represents harmony and wealth, with its interconnected rings symbolizing the wish for abundant descendants.
