An All-Skeleton Masterpiece from Emerging Brand Norrøna
Norrøna, the rising Swiss watchmaking brand, has unveiled its special edition "Independence 22 Skeleton." This model features a skeleton movement and a see-through dial, housed within a stainless steel case finished in three distinct ways.
A Skeleton Movement Engineered for Superior Shock Resistance and Robustness
Norrøna was established in Nidau, Switzerland, in 2018. Its collections are divided into three lines: "Adventure," "Freedom," and "Independence," all powered by mechanical movements.
The newly released "Independence 22 Skeleton" is a response to fan demand, following the rapid sell-out of the 2021 special edition skeleton model, "Independence." This new iteration evolves from the 2021 model, featuring a DLC version.
The skeleton movement employed is designed based on the principles of architectural beams. While conventional skeleton movements typically secure each arm to a single support point, this movement anchors all support points with at least two arms. This ensures enhanced rigidity, leading to superior shock resistance and robustness.
The see-through dial offers a clear view of the COSC-certified chronometer "Caliber NN08S." The seconds hand is tipped in red for improved visibility, while the hour markers and minute track are highlighted in white. The skeletonized hands are treated with Super-LumiNova, which glows white.
The case, bezel, and bracelet are crafted from stainless steel. The 42mm case is finished with a combination of satin, polished, and sandblasted textures, enhancing its sophisticated appeal.
