A Triangular Design That Still Exudes an Overwhelming Presence

Unveiled in 1957, the "Ventura" was a model that fundamentally changed watchmaking as the world's first battery-powered timepiece. Designed by Richard Arbib, an industrial designer renowned in America at the time for his work on cars like the Cadillac, the eccentric "Ventura" achieved astonishing sales of over 12,000 units upon its release.

Three models are being released, following the original design with a black dial and YG PVD-coated stainless steel case. In particular, the unique triangular case, reflecting mid-century modern design, and the flex bracelet symbolizing American style, are items for which a revival has long been desired. The "Ventura," which captivated many celebrities including Elvis Presley and continues to be loved by watch enthusiasts and fashionistas worldwide, is an epoch-making presence shining in watch history.

The "Ventura" is also popularly known as "THE ELVIS WATCH." This is because he favored wearing the Ventura. Elvis, who broke the rules of music and fashion to establish a new style, is said to have favored a Ventura customized with a flex bracelet on a WG case. It is said that on Christmas Eve 1965, Elvis visited a jewelry store and purchased a WG Ventura, subsequently replacing the leather strap with a flex band. The Ventura actually owned by Elvis is now kept by Hamilton along with its certificate of authenticity.
