This year, a new generation series has arrived for the "Five Time Zone Collection," which propelled the brand to fame. It captivated watch industry professionals from around the world gathered in Basel.

Milla Jovovich Appointed Ambassador This Year
Founded in 1981 as a jewelry brand by Russian-born jewelry designer Jacob Arabo, Jacob is a celebrity-favorite brand from New York. Although they ventured into watches in 2002, their "Five Time Zone Collection," featuring a bold design with five movements arranged side-by-side for the global jet-setter, garnered attention at the Basel Fair and quickly made them a notable presence in the watch world. In recent years, they have focused on complicated mechanical models such as the 31-dayTourbillonmodels, making them a brand that watch enthusiasts cannot overlook. In 2010, Swiss designer Ivan Arpa was appointed COO (Chief Operating Officer), establishing a structure for further growth as a watch brand. This year's Basel Fair also saw a highly anticipated press event featuring actress Milla Jovovich, who was welcomed as the brand's ambassador for 2011-12.
New Five Time Zone Collection Unveiled!
The biggest highlight of 2011 is the new "G5 Series" of five time zone watches with a pentagonal case, which can be seen as a reinterpretation of the brand's iconic "Five Time Zone Collection." This series is uniquely Jacob, comprising four collections – "Grand," "Global," "Ghost," and "Galega" – all sharing the pentagonal case but differing entirely in their design approach. While all are original and innovative, including "Global" which faithfully inherits the original concept, our top recommendation for OPENERS readers is the "Ghost" collection, the brand's first digital model.
As the name "Ghost" suggests, pressing a button on the side of the case causes the time and date for five cities – Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, London, and Moscow – to appear in five windows, while the Jacob logo emerges from a circular window in the center, "like stars in the night sky or a ghost appearing from the darkness."
The display color can be chosen from 31 options, or displayed in a 31-color gradient. It is also possible to limit the display to just one city.
While a practical wristwatch, it also serves as a piece of jewelry to adorn your wrist at parties, making it an accessory with unparalleled impact.

The most daring and fantastical model within the new "G5 Series" of reborn Five Time Zone watches, this is Jacob's first digital model. The brilliant LED illumination in 32 gradient colors is breathtaking. The bezel is detachable, and in addition to the brilliant-cut diamond-set bezel shown, a replacement bezel made of luminescent material is included, allowing for interchangeable enjoyment.
