Text by OPENERS

Launched in 2009,Chaumetits official mobile site (http://m.chaumet.jp) has been popular for its boutique locator, new information on bridal collections, and original wallpapers and games. This year, celebrating Chaumet's 230th anniversary, a new content feature, "Air Museum," has been launched.

What is the "Air Museum"? It's a content feature where you can view Chaumet's archives, including tiaras and paintings, as well as its ateliers. This is a mobile-exclusive initiative, offering a wealth of images and information not available on the main website or in magazines. To "enter" the museum, you need to register as a member on the mobile site to obtain a museum ticket. The first exhibition is currently dedicated to Joséphine, Empress of Napoleon.

BRAND HISTORY
Founded in 1780, Chaumet is one of the world's leading jewelry brands. Its origins trace back to Marie-Étienne Nitot, who trained under Auguste, the jeweler to Queen Marie Antoinette, and later established his own jewelry store.

Even after the French Revolution, its exceptional jewelry-making skills captivated Napoleon Bonaparte, who commissioned the creation of his coronation diadem. Subsequently, the house continued to craft royal jewelry, solidifying its status as a prestigious jeweler and one of the "Grands Cinq" (five great jewelry houses) located on the Place Vendôme in Paris.

Its history in watchmaking is also long, with the oldest confirmed Chaumet watch dating back to 1811. In 1970, Chaumet acquired the management rights of Breguet, another historic Parisian watch brand. It is widely known that Chaumet, led by the brilliant watchmaker Daniel Roth, restored numerous masterpieces left by Breguet's founder, thereby reviving the renowned brand.

Chaumet officially entered the watch business in 1995. It has since launched various collections, including the "Cassis" bracelet watch, which integrates a timepiece into a finely crafted five-link bracelet, and "Class One," characterized by its combination of different materials. In 2004, the men's line "Dandy" was introduced, offering a sophisticated series befitting the "Grands Cinq" designation.
