From Wednesday, July 20 to Tuesday, August 2, 2011, the "Engraving Fair" will be held at Tiffany & Co. boutiques nationwide. This is your chance to create one-of-a-kind original jewelry and fancy goods, engraved by hand with arrangements of photos, pictures, initials, or numbers that hold special memories!

Every Step Carved by Hand
Hand engraving is a technique where all processes, from sketching to finishing, are carved by hand onto the gold or silver surfaces of jewelry, photo frames, business card holders, and other fancy goods. By arranging alphabets and numbers in styles from simple fonts to ornate script, or even engraving photos and pictures, it makes for a cherished gift suitable for a loved one or a special anniversary. As a world-renowned jeweler, Tiffany & Co. boasts numerous engravers with exceptional skill and artistry, transforming the moments of happiness for people around the globe into original items.
Live Demonstrations of Exquisite Techniques Also Held
This spring saw the launch of "Tiffany Yours," a jewelry collection featuring items perfect for engraving, making it easier than ever to incorporate and enjoy this craft. The "Engraving Fair," showcasing Tiffany & Co.'s craftsmanship, will be held at Tiffany & Co. boutiques nationwide. During the fair, master engravers, possessing the highest level of skill among Tiffany & Co.'s engravers, will visit Japan from New York to some select stores, with live demonstration events planned so you can witness their techniques up close.
Currently, there are 11 types of alphabet styles, 5 types of monogram styles, Japanese characters, and symbols available. The selectable styles vary depending on the item, so it's best to consult with staff once you've decided on your piece. Pricing starts at ¥3,360 for up to three characters, with an additional ¥735 per character thereafter (prices vary by style). Why not entrust your special moments and cherished memories—such as anniversary dates, lucky numbers, photos, or initials—to an original design and create a truly unique item?
