SWAROVSKI's First "Hello Kitty" Collection Arrives

SWAROVSKI is launching its first collaboration with "Hello Kitty," a character beloved worldwide. The charming collection, brimming with playful spirit, includes not only jewelry and accessories but also leather goods and figurines, sure to capture the hearts of fans and beyond.

Born in 1974, "Hello Kitty" has become a global icon with immense popularity over nearly 40 years.

SWAROVSKI has created the "Hello Kitty" collection as part of its 2011 Autumn/Winter collection. It will be released first in Japan on June 30, 2011, followed by an in-store debut at 1900 shops worldwide from August.

Nathalie Colin, SWAROVSKI's Creative Director, commented, "I became a fan the moment I encountered it. I believe there's much in common between the magical sparkle of crystals and the playful, joyful world of "Hello Kitty."

Nathalie Colin's design team has produced 31 items, including jewelry, accessories, and crystal living collections. Notably, the "Black Dress" series, a Japan-exclusive collection, features a necklace and a charm, each in a single design. Both showcase a three-dimensional "Hello Kitty" meticulously set with clear crystals using SWAROVSKI's signature Pointiage® technique, resulting in a dazzling and impactful finish.

Furthermore, the figurine "Hello Kitty 2011 Limited Edition," limited to just 88 pieces worldwide, is a unique and gorgeous masterpiece, covered in 19,636 Pointiage® crystals hand-set across its entire surface. It uses color crystals including Crystal Moonlight, Jet, Jonquil, Rose, and Crystal Aurora Borealis, making it a coveted treasure for core "Hello Kitty" collectors.

The collection also features a plethora of other cute and unique items, such as a clutch bag made of clear crystal mesh, a triple stackable ring that can be worn separately, a charm bracelet, and earrings inspired by "Hello Kitty's" signature ribbon.
